Public or Parochial? Part I

It really doesn't matter which one you choose any more. We now live in a world of chaotic counter-productivity. Public and Parochial schools, or any school that receives money from federal, state or local funds, are the major bases of academic learning among Americans. So the obvious conclusion, given these set of facts, is that schools facilitate the move toward nationwide chaotic counter-productivity. At the very least, you would have to concede that this is a possibility.

The huge bureaucracy of our school systems can be likened to a huge glacier. You cannot change the direction of a glacier. It sinks, drowns and smothers things in its path. How sad that it is our children that are being sunk, drowned and smothered by this failing paradigm.

Not much academic learning takes place within the cells of education anymore. Young people falling into various vats of street-smart learning is commonplace though. It is about the only 'English' that is really taught anymore. School is more an experience in sociology and class warfare.

Within the walls, halls and locker rooms, children are exploited, threatened, bribed, bullied, cursed, harassed and teased. They face physical punches, pencil stabbings, cutting, drug intimidation and the bathrooms are like teenage wastelands. Children are immersed in pools of filthy language and porn-speak, not only from peers but teachers as well.

Parents bring me their academically damaged children all the time and one of their first concerns is: "Can you get my child caught up enough to go to high school and graduate on time? I don't want him/her to miss out on the social aspects and playing sports if he/she wants to."

The answer is, sadly; they probably already are at the level of academic understanding in today's high-schools (Public and Catholic). As for graduating on time, you cannot repair in one year what took many years of undisciplined non-learning to accumulate. I sometimes respond also, on my more cynical days, "Why don't you just find a gang for him/her to join? That is another thing that they will have to confront face-to-face in public high schools. OR, Why would you want to put your child back in an incompetent school system that is the source of his/her academic deficiencies?" If athletics and proms are your highest goals for your child, no disrespect intended, then, by all means, throw them back to the wolves in sheeps clothing.

Parents must, at some point, face the reality that education in America is broken beyond repair in its present form. It is antiquated, old-fashioned and ready for permanent retirement. Parents have become enslaved by the insidious and repetitious, false messages of school administrations and the secular world. They really believe that if 'Bobby' is making 'A's' and 'B's', he is smart. Parents suck this stuff up at truth from a system that can no longer be trusted. An 'A' is an 'A' measured against what? And how many answers were they given on their tests so that the teacher's record will be higher or so that the school can get more funding? It is time to wake up and stand up for our children.

The Amazing American Gullibility

I sit in awe during the daily news at the utter gullibility of the American people, their desire to follow instead of lead and their faith in handsome charismatic leaders! Ducklings in complete obeisance. Even the talking heads do not realize why America is in the utter chaos and near collapse that it is encountering. Two words come to mind - PUBLIC SCHOOL! The controling, mind mesmerizing, training arm of our own government.

Here are two quotes from way back at the beginning of the 20th century. These excerpts are taken from Charlotte Iserbyt's work "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America". She served as Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Educational Research and Improvement, U.S. Department of Education. She is also a former school board member. (first printed in Young Parents Alert, Lake Elmo, Mich.) O. A. Nelson relates about a meeting of members of the council on Foreign Relations held in December 1928. "The sole work of the group was to destroy our schools! We spent one hour and forty five minutes discussing the so-called Modern Math. At one point I objected bacuse there was too much memory work, and math is reasoning; not memory. Dr. Zeigler turned to me and said, "Nelson, wake up! That is what we want...a math that the pupils cannot apply to life situations when they get out of school!"

The second quote is by William Z. Foster in his 1932 work "Toward A Soviet America" (Elgin Enterprises, Inc. Los Angeles). "His book called for a U.S. Department of Education; implementation of a scientific materialist philosophy; studies revolutionized, being cleansed of religious, patriotic and other features of the bourgeois ideology; students taught on the basis of Marxian dialectical materialism and general ethics of a new socialist society; present obsolete methods of teaching will be superseded by a scientific pedagogy. The whole basis and organization of captialist science will be revolutionized. Science will become materialistic, hence truly scientific. God will be banished from the laboratories as well as from schools. [Ed.Note: Everything called for by Foster has taken place.]

Hmmmm! 1928, 1932, Sounds like all of this has been in the works for a long time! We are not anything in American unless we are materialistic! Children continuously trained to be materialistic, ravenous consumers! Children trained to have no clue what they want to do with their life upon graduation! Children trained to be obedient to handsome charismatic leaders. Children trained to be promiscuous and experimental in their morality. Children trained to listen to the masses rather than their parents! All in the prison-like halls and cells of our American(?) public schools. Generation after generation since the beginning of the 1900's until now. We are burdened with a brainwashed society following the immoral masters in D.C. with only a very few "squawkers" along the way - and soon they will be silenced as well.

Is it too late to turn back the tide? I think so!

THE NEW PSYCHO TEACHER

Have you noticed the jargon that teachers use these days? They refer to children as “caseloads”, numbers, and the like. They have become psychologists and psychiatrists in name only. They learn their new trade at their “in-service” trainings. They “evaluate” your children according to some list that a group of “psypharmkats” put together in order to make more money and sell more drugs. They pick, sort, toss, tumble, and clean kids like so many apples on a conveyor belt. Then, of course, they toss out the “bad” ones. Resource, resource, resource, they say, but only if you qualify! They make you feel real special if your child qualifies for resource. Hooray! It means that the school gets more money for putting up with your kid and your kid gets somebody to read to them. Big prize! Only problem is, they never get out of resource because you can’t learn if someone else is doing your work, or worse still, just babysitting you! Besides, if you graduate from resource the school loses money - get it?
